Letters From a Loved One

OCHWA Prostate Cancer Campaign

Letters From a Loved One is a prostate cancer awareness campaign helping health conversations feel a little more human.

Overview

A collaborative team project for the Prostate Cancer Awareness Campaign for the Oklahoma Community Health Workers Association (OCHWA). Designed to create a comfortable environment for discussing men’s health, this campaign uses the visual language of letters, postcards, and handwritten elements to deliver information in a personal and approachable way. The final brand identity and campaign were selected for implementation across community lesson initiatives in small towns in Oklahoma.

Brand Identity

The visual identity for the OCHWA was designed to represent the collaborative nature of community health work, representing how connection, education, and support come together to create meaningful community impact.

  • Connected figures: abstract human figures hand-to-hand in a circle, representing community health workers and the relationships they build through support and education

  • Umbrella form: central silhouette references an umbrella to symbolize access to information and collective care

  • Diverse color palette: multiple colors are used to reflect diversity across Oklahoma communities and reinforce inclusivity
